Sarah Warren
Entrepreneur
Sarah Warren’s life began in Aspen, Colorado, a town known for its breathtaking landscapes and strong sense of community. Growing up surrounded by the Rocky Mountains fostered her deep appreciation for the outdoors and instilled a strong work ethic. A standout student at Aspen High School, she earned membership in the National Honor Society before graduating in 2002.
Academic Excellence Meets Leadership
After high school, Sarah moved across the country to attend Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. She graduated cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Communications. Her time at Rollins was as much about leadership as academics—she became deeply involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, holding multiple leadership positions, including president. These experiences sharpened her skills in organization, communication, and team management.
Her interest in law and governance led her to pursue her Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Vanderbilt University Law School, where she graduated in 2010. During law school, she served as Associate Editor for the Environmental Journal. She participated in the International Law Practice Clinic, gaining early exposure to complex legal issues and real-world client interactions.
Stepping into the Business World
Rather than going directly into law after Vanderbilt, Sarah accepted a position with American Express in 2011 as a corporate account business development manager. In this competitive role, she excelled, becoming a top-ranked rookie and later a top-performing tenured manager. This chapter in her career strengthened her skills in strategic sales, business development, and client relationship management—expertise she would later bring to her legal practice.
Public Service and Legal Foundations
In 2013, Sarah transitioned into public service by joining the Office of the General Counsel for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. Here, she focused on community planning and strategic business development. This work deepened her understanding of government processes, regulatory compliance, and inter-agency collaboration, laying the groundwork for her future specialization in public finance and special districts.
Shaping Communities Through Special District Law
In 2014, Sarah Warren joined Hopping Green & Sams, P.A., a respected Florida law firm, where she rose to become a shareholder in the Special District practice group. She represented real estate developers, community development districts, and other special-purpose government entities, guiding projects from initial planning to completion.
Her legal work included serving as Issuer’s Counsel for significant public infrastructure financing and overseeing the issuance of tax-exempt bonds to fund roadways, utilities, and stormwater systems. These projects supported residential and mixed-use development, fueling community growth across Florida.
Expanding Public Finance Expertise
Sarah’s legal career became defined by her expertise in:

Her role at BMO solidified her standing as a trusted legal advisor in Florida’s infrastructure and finance sector.

She is also dedicated to mentoring and professional development, helping guide new talent entering the legal and finance fields.
An Entrepreneurial Turning Point
After over a decade of practicing law, Sarah transitioned to entrepreneurship. Alongside her husband, Gabe, she now focuses on independent business ventures, applying her legal expertise, strategic thinking, and business insight to new opportunities. This shift reflects her adaptability and her drive to create value beyond traditional legal practice.
Equestrian Dedication and Outdoor Living
Sarah’s passion for horseback riding began at six years old and eventually took her to national-level competitions. While at Rollins College, she co-founded the Rollins College Equestrian Team and served as its president for two years. Today, she continues to enjoy riding, along with hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities that reflect her Colorado roots.
Her academic background in English also nurtured a lifelong love for reading and creative writing—pursuits she still enjoys, often blending them into her professional and personal projects.
